SAINT GERASIMOS' HOLY CAVE
In 1560 he moved on to Omala where his Convent is now located. The Cave is located in the area of Lassi near Argostoli. On the north side of the cave there is a natural hole (30x30) offering natural light and view to the sea. Nowadays, the cave has been included in a small Church that constitutes
one of the buildings of a small monastic retreat, a metochion of

Gerasimos spent a monastic life here for five years when he arrived
in Cephalonia from Zakynthos in 1555.
